About This Site
LED TV is a reference site about television display technology. It exists to answer one kind of question well: how does this actually work, and does the difference matter to what I watch? Everything here is written to stay true for years rather than to track a model year.
What this site covers
The subject is the display itself. That means the LCD stack and its backlight, the panel types underneath the marketing names, quantum dots, OLED and its variants, Mini-LED and Micro-LED, along with the specifications that describe them: resolution, refresh rate, HDR, contrast, viewing angles, colour and motion handling. Around that sit the practical pages: how to choose a set for a particular room, how to set its picture properly, what fails first, and what burn-in genuinely risks.
What this site deliberately does not do
There are no product reviews here, no scores, no prices and no “best TV of the year” lists. Those go stale within months and are poorly served by a site that cannot test hardware in a lab. There are also no affiliate links and no sponsored articles, so nothing on these pages is written to move you toward a particular purchase.
The trade-off is deliberate. What you lose is a shopping shortlist. What you gain is an explanation that still holds when the shortlist has been replaced, because the physics of a liquid-crystal shutter in front of a lamp does not change with the model year.
How the content is made
Pages are written from the mechanism up: describe what the hardware does, then what follows from it, then who that suits. Where a claim would depend on a specific measurement, a specific model or a specific price, it is either qualified or left out, because this site cannot verify it. That is why you will find explanations of how to judge peak brightness or motion handling yourself, but no table of numbers attributed to individual televisions.
The German edition
The same reference material is published in German at de.led-tvs.info. Most pages exist in both languages and link across to one another.
Advertising
The site carries advertising, served through Google AdSense. Advertisers have no influence over what the articles say or which technologies they recommend, and there are no affiliate links and no sponsored articles. Corrections
Display technology is a field where confident explanations are easy to get subtly wrong. If you find an error, an outdated claim or an explanation that misleads, please say so via the contact page. Corrections are made to the page itself rather than appended as a footnote.
