Contact

This site has no comment section and no contact form, which keeps it static, fast and free of the data collection a form would involve. Email reaches the people who run it directly.

What to write about

  • Corrections and factual errors. The most useful mail this site receives. Point at the page and the sentence, and say what is wrong with it. Confirmed errors are corrected in the article itself.
  • Gaps. If a term or technology sent you here and you left without an answer, that is worth knowing: it usually means a page is missing or buried.
  • Advertising and licensing. Enquiries about advertising on the site, or about reusing text from it, go to the same address.
  • Privacy requests. Access, erasure, objection and the other rights set out in the privacy policy can be exercised by writing to the address above.

What this site cannot help with

It cannot diagnose a fault on a specific television, arrange a repair, handle a warranty claim, or tell you which model to buy: it does not test hardware and has no relationship with any manufacturer or retailer. For a fault or a warranty question, the set's manufacturer or the shop you bought it from is the right contact. For a buying decision, the buying guide sets out the reasoning to apply yourself.

Response time

The site is run by a small team alongside other work. Mail is read, and anything reporting an error gets priority, but a reply may take several days. Messages that are automated, promotional or sent in bulk are not answered.
